Damien VOIRY est diplômé de l’école nationale supérieure de chimie et de physique de Bordeaux (ENSCPB) et a obtenu sa thèse au Centre de Recherche Paul Pascal (CRPP) de l’université de Bordeaux en 2010. Damien a ensuite réalisé un postdoctorat de 2011 à 2016 dans le groupe du Professeur Manish Chhowalla de l’Université de Rutgers aux Etats-Unis. Ses travaux de postdoc ont porté sur la modification des structures cristallines des nanofeuillets de chalcogénures métalliques pour l’électrocatalyse et l’électronique. Depuis février 2016, il est chercheur CNRS (CR2) à l’IEM dans le département de DM3. Ses recherches actuelles visent à étudier les relations structure-propriété pour les matériaux bidimensionnels et les hétérostructures fabriquées à partir de matériaux de basses dimensionnalités pour des applications en énergie et la fabrication de nouvelles membranes. En avril 2017, Damien a publié 35 articles pour un facteur h de 18 et un nombre de citations supérieur à 3700.
