Dr. Damien Quémener graduated from Bordeaux University (Laboratoire de Chimie des Polymères Organiques) in France in 2005 with a PhD focusing on ring-opening metathesis polymerization in miniemulsion.

After a postdoctoral stay at the University of New South Wales (Center for Advanced Macromolecular Design) in Sydney, Australia in 2006, he returned to France as Associate Professor of the University of Montpellier.

He is now leading the group Advanced Macromolecular Materials at the Institut Européen des Membranes. He is conducting research in polymer membranes and has a strong experience in advanced polymer membranes made from self-assembly of diverse building blocks such as block copolymers and inorganic particles.

Damien has published more than 40 papers and has been awarded as Distinguished Junior Member of the French Chemical Society.
