Dr. Julien Cambedouzou received his Ph.D. in “Chemistry and Physics of Materials” from the Université Montpellier 2 (France) in 2005. He first served as a post-doc at the French Nuclear Agency (CEA). He then joined the Laboratoire de Physique des Solides (Orsay) in 2006 as an assistant professor of Université Paris Sud XI. He moved to the Ecole Nationale Supérieure de Chimie de Montpellier in 2010, conducting research at the Institut de Chimie Séparative de Marcoule from 2010 to 2018, and at the Institut Européen des Membranes since 2018. He obtained his habilitation in 2015. His main research interests include design, synthesis and characterization of inorganic porous materials (carbon nanotubes, carbides, oxides), and application of these materials in the field of energy, environmental sciences, and health. He authored more than 70 publications in peer reviewed international journals, 4 book chapters and 2 international patents. He achieved more than 120 presentations of his research works, including 22 as an invited speaker. He directed or supervised 12 PhD theses.
In parallel of his research activity, Dr. Julien Cambedouzou served as ENSCM Delegate for Formation in Industry from 2014 to 2019. He is now in charge of the International relations of ENSCM since 2019.
