SUMMARY:Conférence de François GANACHAUD
DESCRIPTION:Dr François Ganachaud\nDirecteur de Recherches au CNRS au labo
 ratoire IMP (UMR 5223\, CNRS/INSA Lyon)\nLundi 7 juillet 2025\, 13:30\, sa
 lle de conférence de l'IEM\n\n\nPrinciples of (Nano)precipitation by solv
 ent shifting: how does it help for membrane preparation?\nAbstract:\nThe o
 uzo effect offers a versatile\, one-step\, shear-free route for producing
 polymer particles\, emulsions\, or liposomes at any scale. Over the last t
 wo decades\, phase-diagram–guided studies of polymer/solvent/antisolvent
  ternary systems have extended this out-of-equilibrium approach to membran
 e fabrication via NIPS.\nIn his talk\, Dr Ganachaud will outline the physi
 cal-chemistry fundamentals of the direct system used for particle generati
 on\, emphasizing solubility\, diffusivity (viscosity\, χ-parameter) and i
 nterfacial “poisoning” by charges that arrest phase separation. He wil
 l discuss key phase diagrams\, explain their boundaries\, present recent e
 xtensions\, and draw a concise parallel with the inverse systems routinely
  employed at IEM for membrane preparation.\n\n&nbsp\;
