 ced Oxidant: \nMitigating Bacterial Repair during UV Disinfection and Degr
 ading Micropollutants in Wastewater"\n\n\n\n\nDr. Samuel Snow joined the f
 aculty of the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering at Louisia
 na State University as an assistant professor in 2016. Dr. Snow has a B.S.
  in Earth and Atmospheric Science and a Ph.D. in Environmental Engineering
 \, both from the Georgia Institute of Technology. In 2015\, he worked brie
 fly at the Michigan Department of Environmental Quality\, followed by an a
 ppointment as a Postdoctoral Research Associate in Michigan State Universi
 ty's Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering. His research inter
 ests include advanced oxidation processes (AOPs)\, photochemical technolog
 ies\, and the role of sunlight in natural systems. Specifically\, Dr. Snow
 ’s research group is exploring the use of UV-LEDs to develop “smart”
  disinfection and AOP systems\; additionally\, the group seeks to overcome
  challenges to practical photocatalysis by investigating the quenching of 
 reactive oxygen species in photochemical treatment processes of natural or
  wastewaters. A driving theme in Dr. Snow's research group is to approach 
 the practical challenge of developing low-cost\, sustainable\, and robust 
 water treatment systems by investigating the underlying science of the tec
 hnologies.\n\n&nbsp\;\n\n&nbsp\;\n\n&nbsp\;
