Preparation, Structure and Properties of Graphene/Polymer Nanocomposites

Graphene is a novel filler that can simultaneously enhance the electrical and thermal conductivity as well as the mechanical properties of polymers because of its high intrinsic thermal conductivity and strength. Graphene oxide can improve the mechanical properties of hydrogenated carboxylated acrylonitrile-butadiene rubber and ethylene-vinyl acetate rubber. Reduced graphene oxide/poly(ethylene oxide) composites in situ prepared through a green approach exhibit high microwave absorbing capacity. Methacrylate copolymers are synthesized by “living” free radical polymerization, and their graphene composites are prepared and characterized. The graphene/polymer composites present great potential in the application of high performance and functional products.
